In addition, math courses use Glencoe textbooks, Spanish uses Power Glide, Music uses Tritone online curriculum and Art uses Geeguides online curriculum. As with all online resources, PDELA will supplement these curriculum offerings with workbooks and offline projects to help students synthesize the concepts they learn.
Grades 9-12
PDELA offers more than 35 courses for high school learners, including all required courses for students to attain a high school diploma that meets or exceeds all of Pennsylvania’s graduation requirements. Various award-winning electronic curriculum offerings are integrated with textbooks, workbooks, and reading materials to provide an overall challenging course of study. High school curriculum is available to students seven days a week, 24 hours a day, allowing students to work on their courses at times best suited to their individual scheduling needs. Each semester, students consult their Academic Advisors to select between five and seven courses, completing each according to a semester plan. Each course will earn the student one-quarter or one-half credit toward Pennsylvania’s graduation requirements, consistently moving the student closer to earning his/her high school diploma.
